Axis Groups
Kampfgruppe Stahlkrieger
We are a group of ordinary people who have a mutual interest in WWII and in particular the German military aspect of that conflict. We have been brought together by that mutual interest and rather than just read or watch historical media we have decided to go one step further and live that history. Through the wearing of uniforms, the ownership and operation of vehicles and through partaking in battles and re-enactments either as part of organised shows or privately, we aim to educate and show the public what it was like to look and live like a German WWII soldier.

Panzer-Fuesilier-Regiment Grossdeutschland
Originally formed in 1998, our group’s objective is to recreate as closely as possible the sights and sounds of a German armoured infantry unit on the Eastern Front in the last two years of the Second World War. This is achieved through the use of both original and reproduction uniforms and equipment researched from wartime photographs and documents.

U-Boat Society
"Formed in March 2008, we are a group of enthusiasts that portrays the 9th Unterseebootsflotille' based in Brest, France, between 1941 and 1944. Our main portrayal is that of the crew of a generic type V11 U-boat crew. However, this is also being expanded in order to also portray the 9th flotilla in general, from Marinehelferin, DRK Helferinen, naval infantry, coastal artillery and surface craft personnel. Throughout the year the group attends numerous public shows, training days and work days with our conning tower and vehicles. We also organise annual foreign trips with a Kriegsmarine or U-boat theme."

Kompanie 1
Based in the UK, Kompanie 1 is currently one of the largest re-enactment societies in Europe taking part in public and private battles around the country as well as putting on static displays at officially organised military and WWII shows. Founded in 1997, Kompanie 1 started life just portraying the 12th SS Hitlerjugend, but due to the social and enjoyment aspect of KP1 other units were attracted, and so, Kompanie 1 currently portray a wide range of German, UK and US units.

116th PANZER DIVISION 'DER WINDHUND'
As a group we are very committed to historical accuracy which we carefully research and document and this is reflected in the period uniforms, equipment, vehicles and weapons that we display. We also research and learn the tactics and drill that the 'Landser' would have known at that time to further improve our impression. We strive to maintain this high standard of authenticity to show as accurately as possible how the ordinary German Soldier of 1944-45 lived in the field and how he fought in the greatest conflict the world has ever known. We are committed to help keep this part of history alive in an effort to better educate ourselves and the public at large about a part of history that is often overlooked or misinterpreted.
