Associations

AFRA

AFRA is a constantly evolving project. From it’s inception in 1998 as a small group of re-enactors portraying German Soldiers of WWII it grew into a well established Association of individuals. These individuals undertook a wide variety of German portrayals and the diversity added to what they did. AFRA continued to develop and expand its remit until in the Autumn of 2007 the decision was made to open the membership to ALL Living Historians and Re-enactors covering the 20th Century.

Northern WW2 Association

The Northern World War 2 Association was established in 2005. Our aim is to authentically re-create, re-live and re-enact the 1940’s period in an enjoyable, interesting and safe way.

The Association specialises in large battle re-enactments using a full range of blank firing weapons, period vehicles and coupled with spectacular pyrotechnic effects. We have units representing every European theatre of war. Each unit displays quality, authentic and accurate living history.

Wartime Living History Assoication

The WarTime Living History Association exists to remind, portray and represent the forces Allied/Axis and Domestic which played a role in the Second World War. Through Representation our group strive to inform, educate and assist the members of the public with their understanding of the Second World War and what was involved by all participants.

The WW2 Living History Association

The WW2LHA is an association of militaria collectors, historians and hobbyists. This association has been around since 1978 and as the B.R.A was the birthplace of British Battle Re-enactment.

Our prime aim is to preserve and display the equipment and weapons used in the North-West Europe Theater of Operations during the Second World War, and to remember the people involved in the conflict by accurately portraying them in organized mock battles, living history campsites and public re-enactments.

The association provides the means for members to do this in a safe and legal way. We shall continue to present the participants of WW2 in as correct a manner as possible, through dress and behaviour so as to act as a living memorial to them. We currently has 16 units with the association, covering British, German and American Groups.
